Yoga  ~ Unfolding from Within

"Make every action and every movement one of beauty, grace and intention"

Scaravelli-Yoga

Yoga is an ancient art and way of being. Yoga is the breath of life that moves though each of us - it is wholeness. Through deep wisdom and dedicated practice, the teachings of yoga aim to harmoniously unify body, mind and consciousness in such a way that the body becomes an instrument for treading the path of self awareness.

Yoga invites us to open up to the beauty and great light within us. Yoga invites us to let go of the things that keep us from truly being at peace. It invites us to stop. To be still. To know that all that we are looking for, lives within.

Hatha Yoga

The word Hatha is a compound of the words Ha and Tha, meaning sun (masculine) and moon (feminine). Hatha yoga refers to the practices of physical purification which prepare the body for deep meditation. These practices help to purify and cleanse the body of toxins and deeply held emotions, encourage skeletal alignment and muscular flexibility, and awaken and harmonise the energies of our internal system.

Yoga can also help us to clear energetic blockages which build up over time, through past trauma, injuries or inbalances in the body and mind. The ancient wisdom of yoga can provide us with the inspiration and techniques to face the challenges of life, and to enrich our lives with fluid health and vitality. Through meditative practises and focus upon the breath, the mind can become calm and clear, allowing one to feel more relaxed, energised and integrated.

yantra

Yoga is a remedy for the whole person. Altough there are guidlines and foundations for living and practicing, yoga is a very personal journey. There is no achievement level or competition. Each person works within their own capacity and in tune with their inner wisdom (intuition), and it is for this reason that yoga is beneficial to all regardless of age, gender, religion, body shape or previous experience.

Unfolding from Within

This approach to yoga opens an invitation of self inquiry through an intuitive and deep practice that leads to the developmeant of sensitivity and self awareness. This involves exploring our connection with the earth and sky, the sacred breath and the space within and all around us. We learn to listen to the breath and explore movement with a loving and kind approach towards ourselves. This style of yoga is kind on the body and encourages the natural unfolding of healthy posture, fluid movement, expansive breathing and deep peace.

Yoga sessions will include guidance and hands on assistance to assist the opening and unfolding of your body and mind. This may incorporate postures which can help to relieve ailments, breathwork for deep relaxation, as well as holistic advice for supporting a natural and healthy lifestyle. The sessions are suitable for people of all abilities and are very helpful to people with physical imbalances, stiffness, misalignments and also for the relief of stress and tension in the body and mind.

This approach draws upon the ancient wisdom of yoga, Eastern philosophy and shamanism, and is also rooted in the ideas and teachings of yoga inspired by Vanda Scaravelli.

About Daniela

Daniela's journey with Yoga has led her to study and train with some of the world's most experienced teachers, mainly: Heinz Grill, Sandra Sabatini, John Stirk and Angela Farmer. Her yoga teaching is also inspired by many years of working with energetic practices and the healing arts and spending time in silent retreat in Nature.

Through her teaching Daniela brings attention to the value of developing a deeper connection to ones self through exploring the body, mind and emotions in a non-judgemental, compassionate way. This creates the space for ones inner truth to emerge and with time, a sense of ease and peacefulness as attachments and limiting patterns falls away.

Daniela teach weekly classes, One to One, and yoga day/weekend retreats in Kent and the UK.

Daniela herself is a gentle, grounded, peaceful spirit, exuding love and well being, her handshake is a mere whisper, so it's an incredible surprise to receive such a deep, strong, powerful massage from her.  This is both emotional and physical and undoubtedly works on other energy levels too.  It is the same with her yoga classes.  Each session is something of a journey taken inside your self so that your life can be lived more fully and truthfully. During the class I imagine I have my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground, it is an expansive and quite wonderful break from every day life. My daughter and I enjoy regular weekly yoga sessions with Daniela and personally I have found that after 18 months of yoga that my physical, mental and emotional well-being has deeply benefitted from attending. Most importantly I find I am more flexible and resilient and have a deeper awareness of my physical self. On an emotional level, the peace and calm that Daniela creates in each session provides a buffer from a busy work schedule and I always feel balanced and recharged at the end of a lesson.
